Slated for the first half of 2013, Great Homeschool Conventions will hold regional conventions in South Carolina and Ohio. Each convention features a HUGE Homeschool Curriculum EXHIBIT HALL. And, a simply outstanding FEATURED SPEAKER roster that includes speakers such as Dr. Michael Platt, Gianna Jessen (October Baby), Dr. Larry Schweikart, Andrew Pudewa, Diana Waring, Dr. Jay Wile, Amanda Bennett (MidWest only), David Hazel, Dr. Carol Reynolds (MidWest only), Todd Wilson, John Stonestreet, Pastor Tedd Tripp (SouthEast only), John Rosemond, Dr. Robert Carter, Dr. Jobe Martin, Kirk and Casey Martin and dozens more!
With such a fantastic group of speakers, these conventions provide hundreds of information-packed homeschooling workshops—allowing attendees to choose the sessions that will be most helpful to their own family. This includes a wide variety of workshop topics covering subjects such as math, science, language arts, music and more—from elementary levels through high school. Special attention is given to learning styles, gifted children, special needs, unit studies, Classical homeschooling and Charlotte Mason methods of home education. Additionally, there are unique, optional “workshop tracks” that cover Christian Worldview, Creation Apologetics and Parenting.
Always engaging and thought-provoking, the REAL FAITH for the REAL WORLD teen track is immensely popular, and always attracts a large number of parents that enjoy these sessions as well. These sessions are led by staff and affiliated speakers from Summit Ministries of Colorado. 2013 speakers include John Stonestreet, Scott Klusendorf, and Sean McDowell.
The PARENTING TRACK offered at these Great Homeschool Conventions is simply outstanding, and provides the opportunity to listen and learn from either Pastor Tedd Tripp (Shepherding a Child’s Heart – SouthEast only), John Rosemond (Parenting by The Book), or Kirk and Casey Martin (Calm Christian Parenting).
These conventions also feature a CREATION APOLOGETICS TRACK that is led by Young Earth speakers and authors Dr. Robert Carter of Creation Ministries International and Dr. Jobe Martin of Biblical Discipleship Ministries, and Dr. Jay Wile.
On Saturday, March 16th in Greenville, SC, and Friday, April 5th in Cincinnati, OH, most convention attendees take a break with the optional COMEDY SHOW. The 2013 comedy festivities will be led by TIM HAWKINS – LIVE!
