Battle For Your Children: Protecting Them In This Complicated World
What used to be considered sexual immorality in our culture is not only now accepted—it’s promoted. Synchronous with this tragic trend is the increasing number of sexual threats facing our kids from within and outside of the homeschooling community—many from places we would never suspect. During this session, Attorney Gibbs III will explain the threats that exist for homeschool children and most importantly, what you as a parent can do to keep your children safe.
Upcoming Presidential Election: What’s at Stake for Homeschooling in the Future
The stakes for homeschooling have never been higher than they are right now. In this session, Attorney Gibbs III, a veteran homeschool dad and a homeschooling advocate, will discuss how the rise of homeschooling’s popularity and its successful graduates have created a dynamic where homeschooling is looked at by many elected and appointed officials with increasing scrutiny, suspicion, and even intolerance. When we consider that issue, coupled with Common Core and the homosexual and gender identity movements—both of which are highly influenced by elected officials—it’s clear that the impact of the coming elections on homeschooling in America cannot be overstated.
Open Forum For Questions
Most homeschool parents will never face a truancy officer on their doorstep, but what would you do if that actually happened? What if Child Protective Services came and wanted to interview your children? Maybe it was because grandma doesn’t think your kids are being educated, or a neighbor who is also a public school guidance counselor thinks the kids belong in school. Attorney David Gibbs III litigates parental rights and homeschooling cases all over the country, and regularly provides practical, solid legal advice to homeschoolers on a vast range of issues. Whether you’re just starting out, or have been home-educating for 20 years and just want to make sure you’re equipped to protect your homeschool from legal challenges, this open Q&A session will leave you empowered with the knowledge you need to move forward in your homeschooling journey.
